California Casinos

California has more casinos than any other state with the exception of Nevada. There are almost 200 casinos within the California borders and 100% of these casinos are tribal-state casinos. These casinos operate under the restrictions created by the California state legislature under the IGRA which allow the following types of gaming within California:

• Primutuel wagering - also known as horse racing
• State Lottery
• Card Clubs - players must play against each other, not against the house
• Charitable Games - Bingo, if the profits go to a charitable organization
