Casino Poker Games
With more varieties than most casino card games, casino poker generally comes in two varieties with many different subvarieties. There are poker games that are player against player and the house takes a “rake” and then there are poker games that are player versus the house. Some examples of poker games where it is player versus player are Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and 7 Card Stud. While examples of a poker game where it is the player against the casino are Carriben Stud, Pai Gow, and Let it Ride.
Player Versus Casino Poker Games
For purposes of this casino guide, I will be mainly focusing on player versus casino games as they fit in more with the casino theme. I’ve been to many different card rooms that only offered player-v-player poker games and I enjoy Texas Hold’em as much as the next guy. The fact is, I feel like player versus player poker games are very different than other casino games and don’t necessarily fall under the “gambling” category. I’m sure many people would disagree with that but it’s how I feel and I will only talk briefly about these types of poker games in this guide. Instead, my focus will be more towards player versus casino games such as Caribbean Stud, Three Card Poker, Pai Gow, etc.
